Boston Mountain Health Center
The South Side Bee Branch School District is proud to partner with Boston Mountain Rural Health Center (BMRHC) to provide a School-Based Health Center (SBHC) right on our campus. This convenient service provides students, parents, and staff with access to primary and preventive medical care, behavioral health services, immunizations, treatment for illnesses or injuries, sports physicals, and telehealth visits—all without the need to leave school grounds. By reducing barriers to care, the SBHC helps students stay healthier and miss fewer days of school, while also supporting families with affordable healthcare options. BMRHC accepts all insurance, offers a sliding fee scale, and ensures that no student is turned away due to lack of coverage or ability to pay.
Student Technology
At South Side Bee Branch School District, we are dedicated to enhancing student learning through the effective use of technology. Each student is provided with a Chromebook, chosen for its easy management, functionality, and affordability. These devices give students access to various educational tools and digital platforms, supporting collaborative work, independent research, and interactive learning. By integrating Chromebooks into our classrooms, we ensure students have the technology they need to succeed while maintaining cost-effective solutions for the district.
Help for the Homeless
If you lost your housing and now live in a shelter, motel, vehicle, camping ground, or temporary trailer, on the street, doubled up with family or friends, or in another type of temporary or inadequate housing, your child might be able to receive help through a federal law called the McKinney-Vento Act. Tonya Lovell serves as the local homeless education liaison for the South Side Bee Branch School District.
