We’re excited to keep you informed and connected with all that’s happening at South Side School. Each week, we’ll share important updates, upcoming events, and reminders. Our goal is to keep you engaged in your child’s school experience and ensure you have the information you need to help them succeed.

Virtual Arkansas Concurrent Enrollment – Spring Registration

Virtual Arkansas concurrent registration for spring classes opens October 15th! The deadline to register is November 19th. Students interested in taking a spring college class should see Mrs. Wilson for more information and to complete the registration process. Don’t miss this opportunity to get a head start on your college journey!

Preschool Pancakes and Pumpkins

Join us on October 21 from 9:30–10:30 a.m. for a fun-filled morning of pancakes, pumpkins, books, and activities! Each preschool student may bring up to two guests to enjoy this special event. We can’t wait to see our preschool families there.

Flu Shot Clinic

Flu Shot Clinic Consent Forms are due by October 14, 2025. Extra forms are available in both the Elementary and High School offices. Please return completed forms to the office. The Flu Shot Clinic will be held on October 24, 2025.

Virtual Arkansas Concurrent Credit – Drop Deadline

The deadline to drop a Virtual Arkansas concurrent credit class with a “W” on your transcript is November 19th. If you need to drop a class, please see Mrs. Wilson as soon as possible to complete the process. Be sure to act before the deadline to ensure your transcript is accurate.

Did You Know...?

Did you know Boston Mountain Rural Health Center has a school-based health center right here on campus? The clinic is open Monday–Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Parents can schedule appointments for their child to be seen during or outside of school hours. Enrollment forms are available on the district website under Parent Resources and are also included in this newsletter.
