Dear community,

We’re excited to keep you informed and connected with all that’s happening at South Side School. Each week, we’ll share important updates, upcoming events, and reminders. The ACT

Our junior students will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 10, with testing scheduled to begin promptly at 8:00 AM. To help your student perform their best, please ensure they get plenty of rest the night before and eat a nutritious breakfast. We are so proud of the hard work our juniors have put in and look forward to seeing them shine on test day!

Shine Bright at the Miss South Side Pageant!

The sophomore class invites all girls currently enrolled in the South Side School District to participate in the annual Miss South Side Pageant on Saturday, March 14th, at 6 p.m. To join the festivities, please submit your entry form and the $10.00 fee to the elementary or high school office by Tuesday, March 10th. Contestants can also enter the Miss Photogenic contest by providing a $5.00 fee and a 5X7 photo by the same deadline. We look forward to seeing our students shine in the high school gym while supporting this sophomore class fundraiser.

Senior Slide Show

Seniors, please email your pictures for the Senior Slide Show to Mrs. Carr by March 13. Pictures MUST be in JPEG format—no more than 6 pictures per senior. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Carr.

Give Blood, Get Lucky!

South Side High School is hosting a community blood drive on Wednesday, March 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donors should look for the Bloodmobile on campus to participate in this life-saving event. To show our appreciation, all donors will receive a "Donor Champions" T-shirt and a "Lotto Pot O' Gold" scratcher for a chance to win various lucky prizes. Gift cards valued at $50 and $100 are also up for grabs as part of the "Scratch Your Way to Prizes" promotion. Please remember to bring a photo ID and scan the QR code on the event flyer to schedule your appointment in advance.
