We’re excited to keep you informed and connected with all that’s happening at South Side School. Each week, we’ll share important updates, upcoming events, and reminders. Cheer On Our Students at the Van Buren County Fair!

The Van Buren County Fair kicks off next week, running from September 7 through September 11. Months of hard work, dedication, and early mornings come together as our talented students present their agricultural, livestock, and creative projects. We could not be prouder of their effort and commitment to excellence. Be sure to stop by the fairgrounds, cheer on our kids, and celebrate their fantastic achievements with the whole community!

Volunteers Needed: Fair Parking Community Service Opportunity

Students in need of community service hours have a fantastic opportunity to earn them right here in our community. We are currently looking for volunteers to help manage parking at the upcoming fair on Thursday, September 10th. This is a great way to complete your required hours while supporting a fun local event. If you are interested in signing up or learning more about the shift details, please stop by and see Mrs. Heston as soon as possible.

Historical Marker Dedication: Titan II 374-7

Join us for a special Historical Marker Dedication program celebrating the Titan II 374-7 in Damascus, Arkansas. The event will take place on September 18, 2026, starting at 9:00 A.M. Hosted in partnership with the EAST Initiative at South Side Bee Branch High School, this ceremony honors local history and community achievements. Our students and community are working together to preserve the past, honor the legacy, and inspire the future. We encourage families to attend and mark their calendars for this exciting educational milestone!
